About Fizzle Studios
Fizzle Studios is a one man band. Focusing on making "Happy Little Games", this is a passion of mine. I prefer to remain anonymous but I've been a gamer for a long time and have been a programmer for almost as long. As a Jack of All Trades, master of some, I do this all on my own and have no plans on expanding this studio to anything all that massive.
I have sought some collaborations with independent contractor graphical artists, downloaded a few assets or purchased a few things from fab.com; but by and large the overwhelming majority of the assets in my work are mine.
Unreal Engine
I've been learning to wield this engine since 2023. I've always loved Epic Games and been impressed with most of their work. It's really been a lot to take on and there is always more to learn. I'm feeling more and more confident with this engine and this can be seen in my two projects
Item Collector Ball
This is my first project. While I expect limited "commercial" success due to marketing blunders and missteps in my release process, the goal here was really always to just release a game on steam! I'm quite proud of the results, especially the music which I produced. It's a pretty simple 3d platformer / speed runner game. There are two modes;
Time Trial
The items in this mode grant bonus time. You have 30 seconds to finish the level and the object of this mode is to simply have the highest amount of time left possible at the end of the level.
Speed Run
In this mode your goal is to collect every item as fast as you can. You cannot finish the level without all 10.
Bankshot
One of my favorite Half-Life mods was riccochet. It was basically dodge ball but with some tron flavoring. There are some pretty key differences / twists that I feel make it more compelling. Due to a lack of traction and... yes... basically the same marketing blunders... I've shelved this for now. I will revisit it soon I suppose.
